Speak Out Loud: Stories of Strength from the Southern Downs

Welcome to “Speak Out Loud: Stories of Strength from the Southern Downs”. This is a community project sharing stories of strength and resilience as well as information about mental health and well-being that supports the communities of the Southern Downs in southern Queensland impacted by the 2019 and 2020 bushfires. Tune in for conversations with local residents and health and community workers who generously share tips, strategies and resources to support your recovery journey. Your host is Kathryn Walton, a Mental Health Social Worker based on the Southern Downs.

In the spirit of reconciliation we wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
